15. phone

The other night Zach had the brilliant idea of calling family members to have them tell the boys a story before bed.  We started by calling Aunt Char who is married to Zach's little brother Gibson.  Char is from Tasmania and has the most fantastic accent you've ever heard.  And she greets us all with a kiss on the cheek.  Adorable.  Anyways, she told a riveting story about a time when an OCTOPUS latched on to her leg a wouldn't let go (downside to growing up in Tasmania....).   The boys loved it (obviously).  The next night we called Uncle Brian (who isn's actually their uncle, but Zach's cousin, and our kids' godfather ;), and he told them a story about walking on a glacier and having a snow ball fight.  It's been awesome watching the boys listen to the stories and then talking about them for a few days after.  Now when they start getting ready for bed they start making suggestions on who they want to hear a story from next.  Cousin Crawford, (my sister Erin's 12 year old) you're next.  I'm sure you've got some good ones for us.

I can still hear Chars' screams.... It was little brother to the rescue.....he whacked the okkie of her leg with his boggie board (a kind pf junior surf board). Love your blogs Katie. Hugs from Tasmania in the summer x
