happy 4th on the 3rd

Just popping in really quick to wish everyone a happy 4th of July weekend. The 4th festivities in this town are fantastic. They go on for days. Just me and Quinn went to a neighboring town last night to watch fireworks while Zach stayed home with the snoozing Maxwell. It was magical. I've never been so close to fireworks. They exploded directly over our heads. We both loved it. And when we got home at 10:45, Quinn climbed right in his bad and zonked out. Perfect. Then I sat on the front porch and watched the party/dance going on on Main Street. I saw a man pee in a cup on the ground in front of his truck in front of our neighbor's house. Then he put the cup back in his truck, polished off a beer and then headed back to the dance. Classic.

We get to watch fireworks again tonight, but this time we'll just lay on a blanket in the back yard.
That's right. As my dad would say, "Is this the best?! Or is this just the best?! This is just the best!!"

I love this town.
