Ready for his first day at kindergarten. So handsome. So happy. So confident. |

When I asked Max if he was going to miss Quinn while he was gone he said, "No! I don't ever miss ANYBODY!" And then he began listing all the people he DOESN'T miss. But I still think he missed him a little. |

A quick shot with Mama (with a sweet photobomb from Max) |
|
Walking from Papa's work over to the school. He didn't seem nervous in the least, but he wouldn't let go of my hand. All the while, a knot was forming in the back of my throat. |
|
Hanging up his backpack. |
|
Finds his name and begins coloring. Yellow on yellow. ;) Our lefty. So reminiscent of this. |
|
A couple of silly shots with Mama. |
|
As I left I whispered in his ear that he was awesome. Because he is. |
|
One more quick shot as I walked out the door... |
...And then I cried sloppy tears all the way home.

first of all, how on earth do you have a kid old enough for kindergarten?! i still feel sometimes like i just barely got out of college and then i realize that was 10 years ago. we are old.
second, your boys are the cutest! their awesome personalities are so apparent in the pictures you post.
third, i don't have kids and yet all these blogs posting "first day at school" pictures makes ME get teary eyes. how on earth did you hold it together long enough to get out the door? :)
i asked you how on earth twice. i must really be serious about those questions. ha ha.
Am I the only mean parent who sent her kindergartner on the bus? I guess so. oops. I did eat lunch with her the second day of school though! And, our bus driver is in our ward, so I didn't even think about it! Maybe I'll have Erick walk her to class a day next week to make up for it?
Ha, that photo bomb of Max is da-bomb-dot-com! I understand your tears, it is tough! He will do excellent though, because he is so awesome!
I LOVE that Max doesn't miss anybody. I hope I was on that list :) Quinn is going to do great. I have to admit, I cried a little reading this one. Can't believe he is so grown up!
so sweet....how do these kids get old so fast? And I cried too when I saw Kainoa's little face peeping out of the bus window when they drove down the street. She is so small and I have lost control for 8 hours of her life EVERY DAY!!! Yes, I am a control freak, ok?!
that first picture is amazing. what a great capture.
and i love this whole post. you captured the first day of school and all its emotions (for the mom!) perfectly.
I cried with you. I cannot believe he is old enough for kindergarten. But he IS awesome, and so are you, so I am sure he will love school.
He is one handsome little devil. Are you still cool with an arranged marriage between our lefties? Also, I feel like I'm the only mom ever who didn't cry on the first day of kindergarten (because I am a robot?) In fact when Rou hits that day, I'll be the one turning cartwheels in the parking lot. In summation: Quinn is awesome, you are awesome (and hot. Love the braid), and I miss team Cowan!!!
SO cute, your kids are so cute. I even got choked up reliving your first day of kindergarten drop off. Its a tough day for us moms. Taking Tyler to his first day of all day first grade was difficult too.
