25, 26, 27, 28, & 29

Sorry about that.  I ended up taking a trip up to see family for a few days and left you all hanging.  I'm sure the suspense was killing you (esp. Ruth. she's been after me;).  We had a fantastic time.  My brother Christian and his family live 4 hours from here, and my brother Ben and his family were passing through on their way to the airport, so I jumped on the opportunity to see family I don't get to see much.  It was a little nuts travelling alone with the boys for the first time, but they were champs!  I was so impressed with them.  And it was worth it to get to have family snuggle Oliver and play with the boys.  There's something extra sweet about seeing my brothers tote around my baby.  Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  And cousins playing with cousins is just the best.

Now I'll finish up my pictures for February:

25. Green:

I know what you're thinking.  The shoes were a little much. I agree.

26. Night

Prom night to be exact.  It's quite a production in this town.  You wouldn't believe it.  The whole family is invited.  They do a promenade.  It's intense.  I've gone every year since we've lived here just because it's fun to go.  This year they asked us to host the whole shebang.  It was fun.  It would have been more fun if Zach had given me more notice than ONE DAY.  I spent the whole day trying to come up with what to wear (silly, right??  but it's PROM!).  A few of my friends brought over options.  It was ridiculous.  But fun.  This is what I ended up wearing.  I sewed this skirt the day of.  It's made out of an old swaddle (long piece of black stretchy fabric used to wrap up a baby like a mummy) and an XXL tank top from the DI.  I got compliments on it all night, so I'm guessing it didn't look like scraps of fabric I'd sewn together a few hours before. Sweeet.  I had Zach take this picture as we were leaving so I could show my sister Juli.  And since Zach and the camera are arch enemies, it's blurry.  Oh well.

27. Something you ate:

Ok, I didn't eat all of that.  But we will eventually!  Max and I put all of this away yesterday (I was thrilled to see that Max, like his Mama, has a love of assembly line work;).  It's been sitting in boxes on the floor of our basement since before Oliver was born.  This is our food storage room.  AKA: the grocery store in the basement.  There's another set of shelves facing this one.  I. Love. This. Room.  When the shelves are stocked I could just go down there and stare at the awesomeness of it all.  Food storage makes me happy.  We're slowly but surely preparing for the zombie apocalypse.

28. Money:

Who needs money anyway?

29.  Something you're listening to:

Fun.  I'll likely follow Nate Ruess wherever he takes us.  Yes, yes I will.

Sweet. February is over.  Can I tell you how happy I am that I finished that rather than just leaving it awkwardly hanging there?  That would have been weird.  And I'm sure you'll all sleep a little better now that it's wrapped up.  Especially Ruth.  Of course, she doesn't need any help sleeping.  She does it all day long anyway. ;)

Thanks for playing along everyone.  That was fun.

I know what you mean about the food storage thing. I am the same way. Chris thinks I'm weird.

The shoes are absolutely not too much. lol.
Glad to see your ready for the zombies. At this point, I think we'll be the first to be eaten. We're screwed.
Honestly, though, I fell a little in love with the organization. And all of the sugar. I feel like we're always running out of sugar. That's probably not a good thing.

I'm glad you finished. I also love the food storage. That is one of the things I like about the west: basements. If only the winters weren't 9 months long. We have a food storage closet that is packed the the brim. It is organized thanks to a lot of clever shelving/stacking by Erick, but it is not easy to access everything. Oh well! Love the pictures!

I can't wait until my food storage looks like that! until then it's just a bunch of beans and rice. which i suppose will do in a pinch...but what i wouldn't give for a brownie mix during a zombie apocalypse.

Love the skirt and LOVE your food storage shelves. Where did you get these, did you make them? I want to be organized like this!!!

Um. That picture of your pantry made me lol. I LOVE your food storage, but the hilarious part is that I totally have a shelf of jars that I won't let my husband throw away (or even recycle) and it drives him CRAZY. So I had to show him that I am not the only girl out there who does this. Thanks for the validation.
