So here I am, entering contests again. Last year I entered Made By Rae's Spring Top sewing challenge, and actually got one of my shirts into the finals. It was super fun, but a little crazy too. The battle for votes was a little nuts, and in the end I got booted out. But I sewed a bunch of shirts for myself that I still wear now (some of them), so that's a plus.
I wasn't going to enter this year and instead just see what everyone else came up with, but when they extended the deadline by one day I thought, "I could sew a couple of shirts in a day...." So, yeah... That's what I've been up to the past two days.
These are my tops. I may do a big post about them on my sewing blog (I have a sewing blog??), but for now you can just look at them and tell me how pretty they are. Or how pretty I am from the neck to the hips (ooh la la!).
And sorry that you can't see my baby bump at all. Between me and my friends Launa and Kelsie, we decided that I'm not yet fat enough to be calling these "maternity tops", so I'm sucking it in. A lot.
I'll keep you posted on the status of the shirts in the contest and if these get any nods, rest assured that I'll be back here vying for your votes. To see my competition, click here. Cheers!

Your collar bones really do look quite lovely. :)
Nice! I totally dig the top one- I would buy that one at a store if they sold it :).
Love em both! I really like the top one as well....can I order one please?? :)
Yep, top one is a winner. Not that the bottom one isn't good, but I think the top one is definitely finalist/winner worthy!
Let us know when we're supposed to vote.
very nice. You are very talented!
Well done Kat! I dig the first one.
I failed to comment on this earlier, but I LOVE the top shirt with the braided neckline. Is a tutorial in order? I say, YES!:)
