Yeah, I'm totally bored of recalling the best of 2009 already. It was a great year. One of the best so far. They keep getting better really. But come on, who wants to live in the past? Let's revel in the present people. SERIOUSLY. (brief explanation: this is an inside rant that's been brewing and leading to lots of eye rolls and embarrassed laughter. Maybe someday I'll share. And if/when I do, it'll be awesome.)
But just for the sake of closure -
Favorite book of the year: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows - Read it. You'll love it. It's like Pride And Predjudice meets WWII.
Favorite new show: Glee (but really, who doesn't love it?). And Community. We like it better than The Office. There, I said it.
Favorite album(s) of the year: Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago. Listened to almost daily. Also, Ryan Morse - Green Is My Favorite Color By Far. This is a guy we met in a park here in town and invited he and his friends back to our house to eat our food. I could tell by their footwear (Chacos) that they were our kind of people. Yes, weird. But they were great company and he thanked us by leaving us with one of his CDs. It's one of our very favorites and now we can't find anything else from him. If you know him, tell him Team Cowan needs more music.
Favorite movie: New Moon. KIDDING. KIDDING! Real answer: Julie And Julia. I found it inspiring, charming, and refreshing. (I'm so funny)
K, signing out yo.
p.s. Take my little poll up there in the corner. It's anonymous. Right now it says only two people have taken it (leading me to believe that only two people are reading) and my self esteem has plummeted because of that alone. Truly.
